A chef has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a behind-the-scenes video of how a Wetherspoon full English is made - having surprised many people with the process.

TikTok user J Salsa, who shares content under the handle @_jahkt, posted a video showing others how a 'traditional' breakfast at the pub chain is made.

In the clip, he says: "How to make a Wetherspoon's brekkie, let's go!"

He then launches into the order, showing as he deals with each element of the classic fry-up.

"First things first, slap on your Peppa Pig," he explains, before cracking an egg on to the grill - with one hand, we should add; very impressive.

"Hash browns down the fryer, slice of bread onto the grill to get toasted, then start setting up your plate."

He then lays half a grilled tomato onto the dish ("Green's important for you - well, red"), before adding 'some more pork for you' in the form of a pre-cooked sausage.

"Flip the bacon, because we don't eat raw s*** round here."

Finally, when all the components are ready he assembles them onto the plate to join the tomato and sausage, spooning on some baked beans to finish the dish.

Hundreds of people commented on the clip - with many saying they were pleasantly surprised to find out so many of the elements of the Wetherspoon breakfast are cooked to order, rather than being zapped in the microwave as they'd assumed.

"Wait they don't actually microwave everything?" one asked.

Someone else commented: "I genuinely thought Spoons kitchens only had microwaves in AHAHAH."

Another wrote: "Why did I grow up thinking all food from Spoons was microwaved?"

A fourth added: "Wow it isn't actually just microwave food I am shook."

Replying to one of the comments, J Salsa said he was 'breaking the Spoons stereotypes'.

Some others commented to call him out for using the grill to toast the bread rather than a toaster - something that they claimed was not usually done in Wetherspoon kitchens - but J Salsa confirmed in a later video that his kitchen had since installed a 'new toaster'.

In other videos he has also shared how he makes other menu items including the Chicken Korma Curry and the Southern Fried Chicken Wrap.
