Man Blown Away After Learning Proper Use For Slot On His Car After '38 Years On Earth'

Man Blown Away After Learning Proper Use For Slot On His Car After '38 Years On Earth'

The man just couldn't believe his discovery after '38 years on Earth'

Since it's launch in 2016, TikTok can be relied on to help users make new discoveries about everyday items, and one man has done just that recently.

In a viral video TikTok user Justin (@milltj01) made an astonishing discovery about the fuel cap on his car after '38 years on this Earth'. Take a look below:

In the video captioned: "How did I not know this?", he can be seen removing the fuel cap on his car, as if he was about to refuel it.

He then points towards a 'slot' on the door and hangs the cap on it, exclaiming that "38 years on this earth and I just learned this."

The video has since been viewed over a million times, and many viewers were also shocked at Justin's discovery.

One commented: "30 years and I just learned because of your video. Thanks bro," while some others have been less than impressed, with one commenting: "I learned this when I was 6."

Another TikTok user Jimmy (@jimmy22112) duetted Justin's video, responding: "no flipping way", before rushing to his own car to discover that he too has this slot.

This isn't the first time that videos have gone viral on TikTok revealing new car hacks.

Driving Test Success have posted a number of car hacks on their account, including one trick that can de-ice your car within seconds.

The video demonstrates the hack, which starts by putting the car’s temperature up high.

Next up, they explain, “Put the windscreen fan on max,” adding: “The ice will start to melt from the heat.”

All you have to do after that is wipe away any excess water and return the fan to its normal setting and hey presto - your windscreen is clear. Plus, you’re heating your car up in the process!

Although while useful some of these hacks may be, they're not always guaranteed to be successful.

A de-icing hack backfired on one Nottingham man as his car ended up reversing into his neighbour's garage.

"The car was iced up so I was going to turn my engine on and then go to the boot to get the de-icer and obviously as soon as I turned the key it just reversed," the man explained about the incident.

"I grabbed my steering wheel but I didn't know what I was trying to do. It was just blind panic and it was early in the morning so I was tired."

Luckily for the unfortunate lad, his neighbours were quite understanding about this as apparently, the same thing had happened to them a few years back.
