For anyone heading out on New Year's Eve on a budget, you may want to avoid one of Gordan Ramsay's restaurants

Christmas may still be first, but anyone making some New Year's Eve plans will have to be willing to fork out a lot of money for one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurant.

If you're getting your family together to mark the end of 2022 and the start of 2023, you might want to celebrate in style.

And if cash isn't an issue, you may want to head to Ramsay's three-star Michelin restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

The dining experience for the restaurant in Chelsea is an eye-watering £400 per person - and that doesn't even include a drink.

If you would like to add a glass of wine to the meal - and it is New Year's Eve, so it's fair to say many of us will want a few glasses - then that will set you back an extra £275 for the 'wine pairing'.

When you pair the food and drink together, you are looking at a meal cost of £675 per person - and don't forget the tip you will likely be forking out, too.

So what exactly does £400 food look like?

Well, in his Michelin-star restaurant, Ramsay will serve up items such as duck tea, Orkney scallops and a Roast veal sweetbread to his customers.

The New Year's Eve menu is rather posh.

The 56-year-old will also serve up Agnolotti and 'Dover sole cardinal', which in simpler terms is potato lobster and chive.

Other restaurants owned by Ramsay are also offering a New Year's Eve spread, with London restaurant Pétrus offering a cheaper but still expensive alternative.

If you were to head to the restaurant on Kinnerton Street, you will knock £100 off your bill, with food costing £300 per person.

Like Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, the food is rather posh - as you would expect from such a high price tag.

Visitors will have the opportunity to try out a range of dishes on New Year's Eve, from smoked eel and potato salad to the Isle of Skye scallop.

A couple of deserts will also be on the offering in sorbet and a hazelnut moose - now that does sound nice.

Gordan Ramsay's other restaurants offer a slightly cheaper alternative.

Unlike Restaurant Gordan Ramsay, Pétrus is also open on Christmas Day, offering a bite to eat at a slightly lower £275 per head.

There are some similarities between the food on the celebratory days, with Confit egg and Cumbrian venison available only on Christmas day.

Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill - one of Ramsay's other restaurants - is also open on Christmas day, serving a four-course menu for £150 per person.
