On Sunday evening (February 8), Green Day will perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside the likes of Bad Bunny and Charlie Puth.

However, at a Super Bowl pre-party this weekend, the band made a savage swipe at the Trump administration and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

While performing at The FanDuel Party in San Francisco, the band - consisting of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool - took aim at the administration and called for ICE agents to resign.

"Quit that s**tty job you have. Because when this is over, and it will be over at some point in time, Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Donald Trump, they're gonna drop you like a bad f**king habit. Come on this side of the line," said Armstrong.

Armstrong also changed the lyrics of 'American Idiot' to call out Jeffrey Epstein, singing, 'the representative from Epstein Island' rather than 'the representative from California has the floor'.

On Sunday evening, the New England Patriots will take on the Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

While Green Day will be performing alongside other acts, there's also an alternative gig, created by Turning Point USA, which will be hosted on the night.

The gig was announced after backlash from Republicans over Bad Bunny headlining the show.

Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has been openly critical of Trump, releasing a song called 'Nuevayol', which featured an imitated Trump voice saying: "I want to apologise to the immigrants in America... This country is nothing without the immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans."

After Turning Point USA announced the show, they included a link to a website, where users could answer questions about their preferences for the event.

One question asked: “What music genres would you like to see featured?”

Voters could then respond with the following options: 'Anything in English, Americana, Classic Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Pop and Worship'.

Turning Point USA has since confirmed that artists set to perform include Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.

Trump himself has also spoken about his thoughts on the Halftime Show and his opinion on who will be performing.

However, he didn't sound too enthusiastic, telling the New York Post: “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.

“It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve [gotten] great hands [at] the Super Bowl. They like me.

“I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”
