Green Day didn't sing part of the song 'American Idiot' while opening the Super Bowl, which viewers noticed after the band had previously changed it to call out Donald Trump.
The band opened Super Bowl LX with a medley of some of their most popular hits and finished with 'American Idiot', perhaps their most recognisable track, but they left out some of the lyrics.
The lyrics of the song used to go 'I'm not a part of a redneck agenda', but in recent years they've switched it to 'I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda', calling out the Trump administration.
However, for the Super Bowl show this year, they skipped that moment entirely as they just didn't sing that part of the song, seemingly sidestepping a potential controversy.

Not that Channel 5 viewers would have known much about it, as its airing of the Super Bowl didn't really show Green Day's performance, which drew complaints from viewers saying the broadcaster 'didn't show it'.
Then again, it's not like the band has stayed silent on the subject in recent days, at a Super Bowl pre-party Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool called on ICE agents to resign.
"This goes out to all the ICE agents out there, wherever you are," Armstrong said.
"Quit that s****y job you have. Because when this is over, and it will be over at some point in time, Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Donald Trump, they're gonna drop you like a bad f*****g habit. Come on this side of the line."
He also dedicated the song 'Holiday' to Minneapolis, the city where two US citizens, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, have been killed by federal agents.
Green Day missed a lyric in the song which normally goes 'the representative from California has the floor', but during the pre-party on Friday (6 February) had been altered to 'the representative from Epstein Island has the floor'.

Trump has given the Super Bowl a miss this year after making an appearance at last year's sporting event, though he left early.
The US president told the New York Post he might have shown up if the Super Bowl was 'a little bit shorter', but this year's game in California was 'too far away'.
He's also made it clear he's not happy with the musical choices for this year's Super Bowl, saying: "I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible."
