Happiest Jobs With Highest Salaries In UK Have Been Announced

Happiest Jobs With Highest Salaries In UK Have Been Announced

They're not what you'd think

There are two things that contribute the most to job satisfaction: how happy you are with the day-to-day and being paid enough to live comfortably.

If your role ticks both boxes you’re on to a winner, which is exactly what we’re here to look at today.

The happiest jobs with the highest salaries in 2022 have been revealed by Glassdoor, factoring in both the average wage and the job satisfaction score.

You might be surprised that the top five have nothing to do with working with animals, driving fast cars or eating bacon

Coming in at number five is a user experience (UX) designer, who is responsible for the process of creating evidence-based interaction designs between human users and products or websites.

Focusing on all aspects of a product's development, including design, usability, function and branding and marketing, they find new opportunities for products and business and ensure the user gets the most out of the service.

As for the checkboxes, the average wage for a UX designer is sizable £46,382 per year, and it comes with a job satisfaction score of 4.26 out of 5.

Fourth on the list is HR business partner, which will, unsurprisingly, need someone with experience in human resources.

With an average salary of £50,000, the role requires the development and implementation of an HR agenda that fits in with the company’s ethos and objectives, and apparently this goes down well with those with these positions, as it’s got a Glassdoor score of 4.30.

Next up is a full stack engineer, a sort of Jack of all trades in the world of software programming. They can use their skills in coding for a website, application and software development, in both the front and back end - aka, the full stack.

Ranking on Glassdoor with a 4.32 job satisfaction score, a full stack engineer can expect an average yearly wage of £47,320.

Second place is linked to the fourth - HR manager. While the HR business partner is responsible for developing and implementing the HR agenda, the manager of this department will lead and direct its routine functions.

This includes tasks such as hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Out of 5, this position gets a 4.39, and its median wage is listed on Glassdoor as £48,443.

It says a lot that the happiest job on this list - with a score of 4.59 - has the lowest average salary of the top five.

That being said, it’s still £46,215, which most people wouldn’t argue with.

The role in question is corporate recruiter, which is basically someone who recruits employees within their own company.

Beyond the top five, here are the next ten happiest jobs with the highest salaries in the UK, including title, job satisfaction score and median salary respectively:

  • Front End Engineer - 4.23, £43,803
  • Data Scientist - 4.20, £49,449
  • Customer Success Manager - 4.18, £41,133
  • Marketing Manager - 4.17, £47,320

  • Enterprise Architect - 4.06, £73,898
  • Data Engineer - 4.04, £50,198

If you’re considering switching to a new role or you’re just looking for a new job in general, maybe one of these might be suitable.

Just be sure to do your research on the company first - you don’t want to end up getting scammed.
