An alcoholic who has overcome his addiction, has revealed the three types of people who should avoid drinking at all costs.
Corey Warren is known for his social media content which focuses on sobriety, often using his previous struggles as an example.
He explained that he has managed to turn 'pain into purpose', as he has since started a non-profit organisation which helps those struggling with substance abuse, while also running several businesses alongside it.

Now a sober, proud husband and father of two, Corey even started a podcast called the 'Sober Boyz' earlier this year with other sober men, to speak about their own sobriety journeys and how they struggled with substance abuse.
In a February episode, he explained that the 'hidden cost' of drinking is a lot bigger than many may think, listing the ways in which the habit can limit your potential in everyday life.

Corey has overcome several stints in rehab, even sharing the signs that led to him realising that he had a drinking problem in the past.
He's previously explained how to tell if you've got a drinking problem, as the issue is more in-depth than many would believe, but he has now explained that there are three types of people who should avoid a pint at all costs.
Speaking in a YouTube short, the US influencer claims that you should give up alcohol if you fit in to one of these categories.
The emotional drinker
You may have seen this drinker on nights out, but Corey says that this type of person shouldn't turn to alcohol in the presence of negativity.
"If you're mad, sad, or had a bad day and you turn to alcohol, then that means that alcohol is your solution for life's problems and you should not drink alcohol," he claims.
The 'just one' drinker
Corey went on: "If just one turns to two, turns to four and turns to eight, if you can't just stop at one, then you should not drink alcohol."
You might know someone who can't let a pint be a lone pint, and this is who Corey is speaking about.
He has previously spoken about the frequency of his drinking habits, pulling from his own experiences to explain this one.
The normal drinker
The American content creator claims that regular drinkers should also give sobriety a go, claiming: "If you drink at dinner and drink on vacation and alcohol has became a normal part of your everyday routine and your life feels boring or empty without it, then you should not drink alcohol."
He added that you can 'better your life', simply by 'getting all this alcohol out of it', offering his services to help anyone give up the habit if they think they would benefit from it.

What are the signs of alcohol dependency?
According to Drink Aware, alcohol dependence doesn't always mean that someone is drinking extreme levels of alcohol, and anyone who regularly drinks could be considered dependent.
HSE lists a few symptoms as being:
- Drinking has become an important, or the most important, thing in life
- Finding it hard to control how much, or when, you drink
- Finding it hard to stop drinking when you want to
- Craving alcohol or having withdrawal symptoms, and drinking to avoid these symptoms
While not an official diagnosis, a high-functioning alcoholic is a colloquial term for someone who is dependent on alcohol, but is still relatively functional in their daily life.
Once someone with alcohol use disorder accepts their condition, they can consider treatments and if that is therapy or residential inpatient care.
