A woman has revealed the surprising side effects she experienced while temporarily coming off Mounjaro.
Symone Jade recently stopped taking the weight loss jabs for a total of eight weeks and was shocked by some of the complications she experienced.
The 35-year-old, who regularly shares her Mounjaro journey on TikTok, suffers from fibromyalgia, a chronic health condition which causes widespread muscle pain and fatigue, among other symptoms.

Prior to starting on the GLP-1 medication, Symone suffered with intense pain that left her struggling to sleep, along with stiffness and joint swelling that she rated 'six out of 10 for pain.'
However, when the TikToker, from Yorkshire, started taking Mounjaro, she noticed the pain she had been experiencing had reduced by around 50 percent, making her condition significantly more manageable.
Things sadly took a turn, however, when Symone was forced to come off the weight loss drugs for around two months, so she could begin treatment for ADHD. During this time, she noticed a number of symptoms had worsened, including the intensity of her pain, which had returned to pre-Mounjaro levels.
Taking to TikTok after eight full weeks off the medication, she told her followers: "I have fibromyalgia and hypermobility and one of the things I have noticed is that I am back to being in the most pain that I have been in since stopping Mounjaro.

"It's very clear that Mounjaro was reducing the inflammation around my pain and making it more manageable and without Mounjaro I am really struggling."
While Mounjaro is approved by the NHS for weight loss, it has not been approved as an anti-inflammatory drug. But GLP-1 receptor agonists, like those in Mounjaro, have shown anti-inflammatory effects in clinical and preclinical studies.
There have been suggestions that the reduction in inflammation is partially due to weight loss and improved metabolic function, and while this is likely true, in Symone's case she hadn't gained any weight after coming off Mounjaro, but still experienced a significant uptake in pain and inflammation.
The TikToker also noticed a reduction in the number of cluster headaches and migraines she experienced while taking Mounjaro, explaining that while they didn't completely disappear, they became a lot less frequent while on the medication.

Symone also reported a reduction in bloating and swelling caused by IBS while taking the drug.
Despite these benefits, several Mounjaro users have recorded a range of side effects while taking the weight loss drugs, from nausea and hair loss to more serious conditions such as pancreatitis.
LADbible has approached Eli Lilly, Mounjaro's manufacturer, for comment.
