How do I watch the Oscars from Australia?

The Academy Awards will kick off at 5.30am on Monday - so here's where you can see it.

It is awards season, and the creme de la creme of Hollywood are gearing up to walk down the red carpet and into the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the 95th Academy Awards on Monday, March 13.

'But I live in Australia', we hear you say. 'How can we watch?', we hear you ask.

Well never fear, my pals Down Under, because you can catch all of the thrills - with hopefully none of the spills from last year (we're looking at you, Chris Rock and Will Smith) - on free-to-air network Channel 7, screening on 7 and 7plus.

Coverage of the star-studded event will kick off at 5.30am AEDT eastern standard time on Sunrise.

And it'll be none other than Aussie diamond Sonia Kruger reporting live from the red carpet, so get ready to see all the hot (and oh-so not) outfits as they float down the carpet, clad over Hollywood's biggest names.

Tune in on Channel 7.

Or, if you just can't get enough of the Oscars, E!'s red carpet coverage will be shown on the brand-spanking new channel, 7Bravo, between 8.00am and 11.00am AEDT.

The gala Oscars ceremony starts live at 11.00am AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus; the only place you can watch Hollywood's night of nights live as it happens.

Or, if you want to catch up on the big night but don't have time, 7 will show an encore of the Academy Awards after Australian Idol’s live verdict show at 7.30pm on Monday on both 7 and 7plus.

As Australian Idol's former host Mark Holden would say, that's a 'touchdown' of an idea.
