An Aussie bakery in Burleigh Heads, Queensland has unveiled a huge, one-kilogram Caramilk chocolate filled cookie.

The gargantuan treat - which has since become the cafe's star attraction - features a hard cookie outside, a gooey Caramilk inside and is even topped with Nutella and chunks of Caramilk chocolate.

The cookie has to be ordered a day in advance and costs $60.

While that might sound steep to some, other customers say they don't mind making the effort, with some even planning a road trip to visit the cafe to get a taste of the chocky-filled cookie.

One woman commented on the Facebook post: "When the borders open we are driving up to have one of these each."

Others couldn't help but imagine the aftermath after smashing such a calorie-laden sugar hit, with one saying: "I would love to give this a go but I am guessing I would be so sick for a week after."

Since its re-release in 2019, Caramilk has inspired several homemade recipes using the chocolate as the key ingredient, including Caramilk mousse, Caramilk cheesecake, Caramilk Crunchie fudge, and Caramilk spiced hot chocolate.

The cafe's Caramilk cookie comes a month after Streets released a delicious-looking Magnum ice cream that tastes just like the famed caramelised chocolate.

The Gold Caramelised Chocolate Magnum is part of a new Luxe range that also includes a Cake Batter flavour and a salted caramel ice cream tub.

One person has already given their tick of approval on the new flavour and written on social media: "They are soooo good. Can't buy them anymore as I will eat them all."
