Alex Williamson has hit back at claims he was abusive in former romantic relationships.

The Australian comedian was called out by his ex-partner Peaches PRC for problematic behaviour in a post on social media.

The recording artist wrote accused 'Shooter' of being 'abusive, manipulative, and predatory' and alleged he did 'absolutely vile things to not only myself but others who I won't mention'.

Williamson hit back at those claims and argued Peaches came forward because she was jealous of his social media following.

He's issued another statement to reject the allegations against him and said he'll be cancelled by public opinion only when he's ready.

"For those curious, I'm doing f**kn great. I'll decide when I'm ready to be cancelled, and although these vague accusations seem to have many of you keen/qualified jurors convinced, due process will soon see a great number of you regret the vile comments and hate directed my way," he wrote on Instagram.

While it appeared he's not backing down, he did offer an apology for the way he hit back at Peaches' accusations.

"I deeply regret the manner in which I mindlessly dismissed these recent allegations, my frustrations however, stemmed from the little known fact that this was the 2nd attempt in 8 months by old mate to defame me on social media, rather than court of law... (she deleted that post after it didn't get the traction she wanted) and then bided her time til posting it again," he said.

"Alas, I do apologise for my display, which was a slap in the face to those survivors of sexual and physical abuse xoxoxo love all of you."

He also hit back at the substance to Peaches' allegation that he was predatory because he was 29 and she was 19 when they dated.

"What's the problem with trying to find a 19-year-old?" he said. He also addressed the other women who spoke up, saying: "Girls, you wanted me. Girls, I'm a f**king, I'm a loveable character. I don't blame you for throwing yourselves [at me]."

Since Peaches came forward with her allegations, Alex Williamson has been dropped by the Sydney Comedy Festival and the Perth Comedy Festival.

The gigs released statements revealing the comedian will no longer be performing at their events in light of the claims against him.

The organisers of the twin events said: "In light of recent events, the Sydney/Perth Comedy Festival has withdrawn Alex Williamson's show from its program.

"Ticketholders for the performances will be refunded back to their original point of purchase."
