The most popular porn category for Australia this year has finally been revealed.

Drum roll please...

Mature has topped the list for 2021 porn searches Down Under and that category means a 'person of any gender, although it is usually a woman, over the age of 50 engaging in some form of sexual activity', according to We Thrift.

Australia shares that result with Mexico only, with the majority of Western countries looking up MILFs the most.

Argentina, Denmark, India, the UK and US, Thailand, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, and South Africa all enjoy mums on adult film sites.

The Netherlands and Turkey apparently love feet the most, while France and Russia look up 'gang bang' the most.

Interestingly, Australia's most favourite sex position is called The Spider, which...I mean, of course it was.

Short of The Drop Bear, you can't think of a more appropriate position name for Australians to enjoy.

According to experts, if you want to engage in The Spider than all you have to do is position yourself opposite your partner, then knot your legs over one another, which apparently will give you an 'optimal position to bump and grind to your ultimate pleasure'.

Reverse cowgirl is most popular for people in Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Israel, Mexico, The Netherlands and Norway.

Russia and Thailand love a cheeky 69, while Irish partners enjoy something that's called The Butter Churner, which just sounds painful for at least one person.

When it comes to the rate of people looking up porn, aka how horny a nation is, the United States of America comes out on top by a country mile.

There were 54.8 million searches for porn in the US this year, which accounts for 16.5 per cent of the population being interested in some wild thrills.

The closest competitor was New Zealand with 12.3 per cent, and Ireland came in third with 11.5 per cent.

Australia managed to rank in the top 10 at number six, with Aussies making 2.78 million searches for X-rated content in 2021.

"Scandinavia might just be the most sexually curious part of the world with four Scandinavian nations cropping up in the top ten," We Thrift wrote.

"The highest ranking is Finland in fourth place with 629,430 total searches and 11.36 per cent of the population searching per month.

"Denmark finished in fifth place with an 11.30 per cent rate of sexual curiosity. Meanwhile, Norway and Sweden came in at seventh and ninth place respectively, with sexual curiosity ratings of 10.47 per cent and 9.26 per cent."

Those long winters must play a role in everyone getting horny.
