Developer Remakes Simpsons: Hit And Run Into An Open World Game And It’s Stunning

The video posted to YouTube has already reached over one million views, with many fans drooling over its insane visuals.

A fan has remade The Simpsons: Hit & Run as an open-world game, and it looks absolutely epic.

The action-adventure video game released in 2003 is an all-time favourite, with many demanding for the game to be remastered.

While the game is yet to be released, one mega-fan entertained our ultimate video game fantasy and remastered the game with modern graphics and one continuous world, unlike the real game, which divides the worlds into levels or zones.

Although the fan stated that this project was made purely for ‘entertainment’, we can all appreciate the attempt to recapture a little nostalgia.

The video posted to YouTube has already reached over one million views, with many fans drooling over its insane visuals.

One person wrote: “I am fully invested into watching this project grow. The Simpson’s Hit and Run was such an iconic game from my childhood and I’m already loving what you're doing with it. Great job.”

Another commented: “This is insane. I NEED TO PLAY THIS.”

A third person jokingly wrote: “It would be funny if instead of an island, you put a glass dome around Springfield.”

While another fan said: “This was my first game as a kid. I played it over and over for years. This video touched a spot in my soul. Even as a full grown man I would buy this remake and play it 100 per cent.”

Amen!

While there have been whispers of the early 2000s console game being re-released, nothing has been officially confirmed.

However, in 2019, the game’s original producer Vlad Ceraldi said he’s open to developing a sequel or remaster.

He told LADbible: “I could see it on multiple different types of platforms as a remake or remaster. It would have to take the parties who are in charge of the property to want that to happen and someone out there to decide that they were going to go out and do it.

“But absolutely, it would be fun to explore those characters and that universe again, that work again."

Stop pulling at our heartstrings and make it happen please!

The following year, a change.org petition was launched by Hassan Mohammad to make these dreams a reality.

The petition has reached over 26,000 signatures thus far, so we can definitely confirm the public demand is through the roof.

Until then, we’ll just have to enjoy this fan-made video.
