Marjorie Taylor Greene has sparked outrage from LGBTQIA+ advocates after being transphobic towards Caitlyn Jenner.

The controversial Republican has slandered the California Governor-hopeful by calling her a 'man in a dress'.

Congresswoman Greene urged Republicans not to vote for Jenner and called her a 'NEVER Trumper'.

She wrote on Twitter: "GOP support & consultants working to elect Jenner for Governor in CA are playing the left's stupid identity politics game.

"A game that sells out our faith, family, and freedoms. Stop promoting this man in a dress & NEVER-Trumper.

"CA Patriots worked too hard & deserve better."

Not one to back down from a social media tit-for-tat, Caitlyn hit back at the Congresswoman.

Ms Jenner wrote: "Tough talk coming from someone who backed down to the woke mob and settled out of court with a Twitter troll.

"Now your money is being used to take guns away from law abiding Americans."

Caitlyn is referring to a settlement that Greene made with MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas.

The lawyer and liberal legal activist, best known for representing Colin Kaepernick, brought a lawsuit against the Republican Congresswoman earlier this year.

He argued Greene violated MeidasTouch's First Amendment rights when she blocked the company from one of her Twitter accounts.

Under the settlement, she was banned from blocking anyone on the social media app while she was in office.

She was also forced to pay $10,000 to cover legal fees for MeidasTouch LLC, who ended up donating the money to two nonprofit groups.

MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas commented on the bickering between Greene and Jenner on Twitter.

He wrote: "How is it actually real life to wake up and read about how Caitlyn Jenner is mocking Marjorie Taylor Greene for settling the federal case we at MeidasTouch filed and donating Marjorie's money to groups that support common sense gun reform. I had to pinch myself."

This certainly isn't Greene's first foray into being discriminatory towards the topics of sexuality and gender identity.

She attracted headlines all over the world when she hanged a sign outside her office in the Capitol building that said 'There are TWO genders: Male & Female. Trust The Science!'

She's also labeled the Equality Act 'an attack on God's creation' because the legislation would give civil rights protections to LGBTQ+ people.
