Shaquille O’Neal is coming to Sydney and he’s bringing his nightclub moniker DJ Diesel with him to play out a set at Marquee Sydney.

He really is completing all the side quests at this stage in his life.

The legendary basketball player has proven to be a life completionist with his multiple side hustles and career opportunities.

His past professions include sports star, actor, rapper, TV analyst and he’s invested in multiple start-ups. The man really can do it all.

Shaq is gracing Australia with his presence in August as part of his upcoming tour ‘An Evening With Shaquille O’Neal’, which is being presented by The Hour Group - who are also bringing internet sensation Hasbulla down under.

While he’s here, he thought he’d once again get behind the decks and let DJ Diesel do his thing.

DJ Diesel isn’t just a gimmick at this stage, the man has played huge sets at the likes of Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and EDC Vegas where he has electrified audiences with EDM-appropriated trap music.

While Marquee Sydney isn’t on the world stage that those other festivals are, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better atmosphere anywhere in the world on that night, August 27.

Just imagine that 7-foot giant standing behind the booth at Marquee.

While the four-time NBA champion has been spinning the decks and dropping rap albums since the '90s, Shaq has never actually performed live in Australia.

If you do manage to snag a ticket, make sure you’re bringing plenty of energy and vibes.

As Shaq has mentioned before in an interview with Footwear News, he never actually has a plan for what he’s going to play until he sees the crowd.

He said: "When I first started out I would say, 'OK I have to DJ an ABG party. They're older, some kids, I'll bring the classics — it never works.

"So I have to look and be like, 'You're an old guy, I'll play some 'Jessie's Girl' for you. You look like a party animal, I'm going to play some Weeknd for you, and you look like you smoke marijuana, so I'm going to play Nirvana for you.

"I just have to look at people in the crowd and play some music."

We are most certainly getting Luude’s drum and bass remix of ‘Down Under’ blaring out of the speakers courtesy of DJ Diesel.

While Shaq’s DJ show may have gone under the radar for many, it looks like the first and second release tickets have already been copped.

Tickets are now $90 so make sure you get in quick

If you’re in Melbourne, look out for a potential side gig there as well with The Hour Group taking the big man down there as part of the tour.
