Woman Quits Her Job So She Can Help Her Dying Pet Dog Complete Her Bucket List

A dedicated pet owner is going above and beyond so she can make her terminally ill dog’s last days as memorable as possible.

In a very selfless act, Megan Marshall has left her job to care for her labrador, Sasha, and fulfil a pooch bucket list before she passes.

Marshall disclosed that she’s owned Sasha for over 15 years, who now suffers from dementia and other health problems.

As Sasha is at her most vulnerable, Marshall left her dog-walking job in Reading, UK to care for her canine full time.

She said: "I've always struggled with my mental health - I was running a business which made me struggle mentally and Sasha's health was getting increasingly worse.

"I was finding it so hard to juggle the two, so I closed my business and decided to work on myself and give her the time she needs, and then the bucket list popped into my head.”

She added: "Even though she’s always had her own health battles - one of which being a degenerative condition which affects her hind legs - Sasha has always been my rock through my own battles."

I’m not crying, you are!

Marshall's bucket list came to fruition after Sasha was diagnosed with dementia or canine cognitive dysfunction, which made her extremely confused. She also had an escalating case of separation anxiety.

However, not wanting to wallow away in misery, her dedicated owner curated a bucket list for the labrador.

The two have already completed the following activities: visiting the beach, eating ice cream from an ice cream van, entering a dog show, indulging in a lavish steak dinner and a birthday and sleepover with her other pooch pals.

Sasha has also met Santa, visited a zoo, a care home, Blenheim Palace and Kings Road in London, and even had a gorgeous doggy photoshoot with a professional photographer to get her smize on.

Sadly, the gorgeous doggo is coming up to her last days; however, Marshall is determined to tick off every activity, including seeing Windsor Castle, visiting the butchers, and going to a nursery or school to meet the kids.

Marshall added: "I know losing her is going to be a big struggle for me so it kind of gives me a feeling that we did everything I could. I know she was so happy."
