There's nothing more relaxing than chilling out with a vino and indulging in some self-care with a DIY face mask.
But Scottish TikTok user Lauren Rennie found out that it's not always fun and games.
Hoping to unwind amid all the drama in the world, Lauren opted for a homemade turmeric mask to help with her skin breakout.
However, the mixture ended up staining her skin and left her looking more like a Simpson character than a glowing goddess.
"I'd been breaking out all over my face, but mainly across my lip line, and I really don't want to squeeze them as it's so so sore," she told her 17,000 followers on the video-sharing platform.
"So me being me, I'm researching ways to get rid of it and help my skin out. And I come across this DIY turmeric face mask that I could literally go downstairs and make right now in my kitchen. So I did.
"It's got benefits for like acne, wrinkles and skin irritation. So I was like yeah let's go."
After applying a hefty amount of the mixture, she realised that her hand began to turn a noticeable shade of yellow.
"I've just applied it to my face and my entire hand has turned yellow. When I take this off my face, I am going to resemble the moon," she added as the camera cuts to the resulting yellow complexion.

She added that she was meant to go shopping with her dad following the face mask, and hoped that makeup would help cover the shocking colour.
"I'm really hoping that make-up is going to cover this," she said, before showing off the slightly better result after exfoliating.
"This is the best it's going to get," she laughed.

Now viewed more than a million times, followers were quick to poke fun of Lauren's major beauty mishap.
One commented: "When people say they want their skin to glow I don't think this is what they're after. Thank you for the chuckles."
Another added: "You went from Donald Trump to I am dying from yellow fever."
A third joked: "Well, at least you have a golden glow."
Looks like we won't be attempting any DIY beauty hacks anytime soon...
