The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley was rushed to hospital following the medical episode.

Lisa Maire Presley has tragically died at the age of 54.

The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley suffered a full cardiac arrest at a Californian home on January 12.

She was rushed to hospital and her mother said she was receiving the 'best care'.

However, she has died following several hours of treatment.

Pricilla has released a statement, which said: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.

“She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known.

"We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”

A representative for the LA County Fire Department said they were called to a home 'at the 5900 block of Normandy Drive in the city of Agoura', which is in the Santa Monica Mountains, just outside of Los Angeles.

"We arrived on scene at 10:43 a.m," the statement said. "One person was transported at 11:17 a.m."

Lisa Marie had attended the 80th Golden Globes awards ceremony earlier this week, where she was there to support the cast and crew of Elvis.

Lead star Austin Butler won the award for Best Actor in a Drama, Motion Picture and he thanked Lisa Marie and Priscilla for their help and support while they were shooting the 2022 film.

"The Presley family, thank you guys for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me," he said.

"Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever."

In his acceptance speech, Butler also gave a shoutout to the King.

“And lastly, Elvis Presley himself. You were an icon and a rebel and I love you so much. You are remembered, and I will never forget," Butler said.
