Logan Paul and KSI have made an astronomical amount of money from Prime drink

It's not just Wakey Wines who have profited from Prime.

If you've been anywhere near the internet recently, then you'll know that Prime energy drinks are something of a phenomenon.

So it's perhaps to be expected that the drinks - which have frequently been sold for huge markups online - have made their creators, Logan Paul and KSI, an astronomical amount of money.

People have been going absolutely wild for the drink, with fans queuing up at 6am outside Aldi to get their hands on bottles of Prime Hydration, and many left disappointed after stocks were quickly cleared out.

Meanwhile, notorious corner shop Wakey Wines has been flogging the drink - which retails for £2 a bottle - for £25 a pop.

Shockingly, this didn't appear to put people off, with one dad travelling almost 200 miles from Deptford to Wakefield to spend a whopping £1,000 on Prime for his sons as a Christmas present.

With demand sky high, you'd have to imagine Logan Paul and KSI are making an absolute bomb from the drink - and you'd be right.

The exact amount was recently revealed by Logan Paul during a guest appearance on KISS 1065 radio in Australia.

The show's hosts Kyle and Jackie O asked the YouTube star for the exact numbers and he was only to happy to reveal exactly how successful Prime has been.

"We want the numbers," Kyle said. "What are we dealing with here."

"Alright," Paul replied. "In year one, we cleared $110 million in retail sales."

"Sorry, excuse me," he added, correcting himself. "$250 million in retail sales. $110 million gross internally.

"In January of this year, we did $45 million."

"Only in January?" Jackie O replied.

"Yeah," said a clearly smug Logan Paul.

While Prime energy drinks - which are available in five flavours: Orange Mango, Strawberry Watermelon, Blue Raspberry, Lemon Lime and Tropical Punch - have proven a hit, not everyone is a fan of them.

One doctor has even gone as far as to recommend that children do not consume the highly caffeinated beverages after scenes of young people storming Asda emerged online.

Prime contains more caffeine than Monster.

Dr Deborah Lee, from Dr Fox Online Pharmacy, told the Mirror: "I would not recommend children drink Prime energy drinks or other energy drinks for children of any age.

"Children don't need energy drinks anyway - they have plenty of energy! If your child is lacking in energy take them to see their GP, do not give them an energy drink.

"It encourages them to want sweet drinks, when plain water is the answer and helps them develop a sweet tooth which is not good for the future in terms of a healthy diet and controlling their weight."

To put how much caffeine there is in the drinks into context, a 355ml drink contains 200mg of caffeine, which is more than a 500ml can of Monster Energy, which contains 160mg.
