A young man who was cut in half by a forklift in a horrific accident has shared aspects of his life on his YouTube channel, giving an insight into his life post-accident - including how exactly he showers.

Loren Schauers was involved in a life-changing accident in August 2019 when he was driving a forklift that fell off a bridge, resulting in it landing on him.

When the then teenager was rescued, he begged doctors to save him, even if he was 'just a head'.

Ever since the incident, which left Loren with no legs and no right forearm, he has posted semi-regular videos on his YouTube channel, sharing his life with his wife, Sabia.

The channel is simply called 'Sabia and Loren', and they have over 600,000 subscribers on the video platform.

Sabia is his full-time carer, but has recently stepped back slightly from doing it 24/7, with Loren's father stepping in to help four days a week.

Loren explained in one of his videos: "It’s given me and my father time to bond [and] work through some past relationship problems… "

He also said it's good to be apart from his wife a bit, giving them something to talk about.

However, in the latest video on their channel titled 'Come Spend a Day With Us! (Sunday Dinner Edition)', it is revealed how Loren takes a shower in his condition.

Sabia introduces the section by going into the cubicle and explaining that 'this is the setup.'

Loren then says: "It's just a blue baby cot," before he is corrected by his partner who says it is actually a bath cot.

Sabia explains that the cot is put there so that Loren has access to the temperature and the nozzle itself, allowing him to do most of his washing himself.

Her role is to hand him pumps of soap/shampoo/conditioner when he needs it, as he can wash some of his front and head with his hand.

It is up to Sabia to scrub his sides and back though, and she begins to puff a loofah up with soap before ending the segment in the almost one hour long video.

The couple even shared a joke about Sabia being used to his previous long hairstyle and putting too much shampoo in his hand, forcing him to scrub his hair more excessively.

Loren looks to have an extremely positive outlook on life despite what happened to him, fighting for it straight from the accident to present day, where he remains upbeat.

Although he has previously spoken about his disappointment towards his friends for their lack of support after the accident, he has a strong support unit around him who are always on hand to help him live as normal of a life as possible.
