Mum with 800 tattoos says she hasn't been able to get a job in 20 years

Mum with 800 tattoos says she hasn't been able to get a job in 20 years

Melissa Sloan says employers don't give her a chance when they see her face.

A woman with hundreds of tattoos has admitted that she hasn't worked in two decades because employers don't like her look.

Melissa Sloan has racked up a mind-boggling amount of designs all over her body.

The 45-year-old from Wales reckons she has at least 100 on her face alone.

This unique look as resulted in a long-standing struggle with employment.

She told the Daily Star: "I have applied for jobs and they look at me and say 'what is this', like I’m not a human being."

Melissa Sloan believes she is a Guinness World Record holder with the number of tattoos she has.

Sloan says she would love to get a job and prove all her haters wrong, however she hasn't been given a chance to do something she wants to do.

While she's been offered to scrub toilets, she is keen on becoming a criminal solicitor because she 'always used to be in trouble with the police myself'.

"I think I could do that job," she explained to the outlet.

The mum also wants to expand her family one more time, according to the Daily Mail.

She and her partner Luke already have seven children but they want to add one more member.

"I'm trying for another baby," she explained to the outlet. "I told the nurse this the other day and she was shocked, her eyes popped out!"

However, she might find it harder to get a tattoo than another child.

The mum-of-two has been banned from her children's school and her local boozer.

Melissa said many tattoo parlours have refused to do anymore designs on her because she already has so many.

"I'm banned from tattoo parlours because my face is full of tattoos," she claimed.

"Some tattoo places don't do them on faces.

"Tattoo shops shut the door on me – tattooists won't let me in. When I had this done [my face], there's one about five miles up the road and they won't do it."

However, the Daily Mail claims that Melissa has been getting tattoos on her body to cover up the 'emotional scars' of being abused by her half-brother.

To get around being banned by tattoo parlous, she's resorted to doing new designs on her own.

"I've got my own kit and I get it out any time of the day," Melissa said.

"At night, if I feel like a tattoo, I'll just have a tattoo."
