Motorcyclist praised for reaction to being hit by driver on roundabout

After footage from their dash cam was uploaded to TikTok, many have praised the motorcyclist for their surprising reaction

A motorcyclist has been praised for their reaction after they were hit by a driver on a roundabout.

While most of us would have been raging for a while over the traffic accident, the biker had a surprisingly calm response to the minor collision.

After their dashcam footage was uploaded to social media, the incident has gone viral with other motorists praising them.

You can understand why the biker was praised after seeing the clip, which was uploaded to TikTok earlier this week.

As the motorcyclist goes to turn off the roundabout, viewers can see the light blue car swing into his lane – turning right and cutting across the junction.

With nowhere to go, the motorbike collides with the oncoming vehicle and the dashcam visibly shakes after the impact.

Understandably, the biker is annoyed – yelling: “The f**k was that? You can’t do that!”

Despite being hit though, they rapidly calm down and can even be heard checking in on the other driver during the short clip.

Exasperated, they approach the car and sigh, asking: “Ok. Are you okay?”

Trying to swap insurance details, they politely ask the driver to pull over to an off-license in the distance – which is greeted with a shrug.

The motorcyclist’s patience is tested even further, when they then have to explain why the driver can’t continue in the same direction.

Even the most seasoned road user might have snapped at this point, but incredibly the biker remains calm and again asks them to pull over on the side of the road.

Seen over 3.5 million times on the social media platform, the biker has won some serious praise from TikTok users.

In fact, the short clip has gained over 3228 comments in just 24 hours since it was uploaded, with many in awe of the calm motorist.

“…the way he calmed down so fast I respect it,” wrote one shocked viewer, with another adding: “Respect totally - thinking of other person even though he was injured party.”

Others questioned whether they’d react so well, given the incident – which easily could have been more serious given where it took place.

“…my anger issues couldn't deal with this, respect” joked a third user, with another recalling a similar incident: “…the amount of people I've seen do that and then honk like you did something wrong.”

However, it was the motorcyclist’s empathy that really won over most viewers.

One even wrote: “I love how empathic he is to her after this the world needs more of this.”

Here’s hoping everyone was okay.
