Jack Black got a sneak peek at the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games when he met up with the man himself.

In the latest video on his YouTube channel, Tenacious D frontman Black met up with the skating legend at the Mutato recording studio in Los Angeles.

And after a quick jam with rock band Devo, Hawk revealed that he and his team have been working on remastered editions of the video game and that he had brought testers for Black, 50, to try out.

Taking it in turns to show off some tricks, the pair got to talking about Hawk's iconic 900 attempt, which he completed at the 1999 X Games.

While playing, Black said: "Back in 1999, no one was even contemplating a 900, am I right?"

But apparently it wasn't as taboo as the singer had thought.

"No," replied the 52-year-old skater. "A few of us had been trying it for a few years prior to that."

"But it was a need-to-know basis?" Black joked.

The friends tested out the new remastered editions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

Hawk then explained: "It wasn't even that big, it was sort of, there was a handful of us trying it because we were capable of it. It didn't feel that lofty, it was, like, 'hey, it would be cool if we could make this at some point'."

Black then brought up an old arcade game called 720, which was once thought to be the limit for a skater.

Discussing the move, Hawk said: "You're right. I learned 720s back in 1985 and then it's crazy to think that it took us another 14 years to figure out how to do that extra 180."

Just last week, Hawk's 21-year vertical ramp record was finally broken... by an 11-year-old boy from Brazil.

Skating prodigy Gui Khury, from Brazil, has shocked the world after a video was posted online showing him performing a 1080 spin on a vert ramp.

The incredible feat was posted on the 11-year-old's Instagram account by his parents.

The caption reads: "1080!!! I have no words to explain what just happened..."

It's been more than two decades since legend Hawk performed the fabled 900. He was 31 when he landed the trick after 10 failed attempts at the 1999 X Games, more than nine years before Gui was even born. Not even a twinkle in his dad's eye.

And while other skaters have landed the 1080 on numerous occasions since, with American Mitchie Brusco even making the 1260, they have all been performed on a 'mega ramp', which lends itself to the trick.
