A little lad was found wandering the streets of Ohio trying to sell his teddy bear so he could buy some food.
The policeman who found him, Steve Dunham, took him to Subway and treated the little boy to a feast where he told officers he hadn't eaten in days, the Mirror reports.
But this heart-breaking story isn't about a little lad who's homeless or an orphan. Shamefully, the little boy lived with his parents and his four brothers and sister.
Police went to the family home and found it to be filthy, with rotten food, empty bottles of alcohol, insects and rubbish all over the place. The pictures of the fridge are particularly gross.

The lad's parents said they hadn't even noticed that the boy was missing and have since been charged with child endangerment.
Now, the mum has taken to Facebook to try and defend her actions and her minging house, saying the police happened to come around on the wrong day and usually the house was cleaner.

She also claimed that her kids always have 'fresh kicks' despite the little lad being barefoot when he was found by the police.

Children Service took the children away and have placed them in the care of relatives while the parents have been banned from having any contact with them.
