Over the past few months some of us have gained a bit of unwanted timber around our midriff.
But if you're looking for some motivation to get it shifted, Japanese YouTuber Ruibosu is the person for you, as he has just shed half of his body weight. Half.
A year ago, Ruibosu posted a clip of himself to his channel, showing his followers his fairly plump physique.

But over the course of the past year he has followed a strict exercise regime and cut out unhealthy foods from his diet.
And he now looks like he could be on the cover of GQ.
In a recent video, Ruibosu looked back at his progress over the past 12 months, from weighing 137 kg (302 lbs) and having 42.9 percent body fat to an astonishing 68.5 kg (151 lbs) with just 18.6 percent body fat.

Now, obviously, a weight loss as drastic as this is impressive, but it doesn't come over night. In his video, Ruibosu said it was a struggle at first because he found it difficult to do a lot of things due to his size - so he started with simple exercises, such as planks and star jumps.
As the weeks and months progressed so did his routine, building in weight training. And after just three months he had managed to drop his weight down to 108kg (238lbs).

He then started to take up kickboxing and continued with his weight training to help build muscle but also shed some of his excess fat.
And as the weeks and months went by Ruibosu noticed a huge difference in his appearance, especially his toned upper body and his slimmed down face, which looks almost unrecognisable to 12 months ago.
Since posting the clip, followers have commented on the video saying it has inspired them to continue to try and get fitter and healthier.

One person said: "At the beginning of the year I was about 120kg. I had intended to start going to the gym at school regularly and try and get under 90 by the end of this year until COVID hit.
"Being stuck at home and being away from friends, I lost the motivation to do just about everything, including school work and working out.

"But after seeing this, I'm going to try and get motivated to start losing weight again even if it means I have to exercise at home."
Well done, Ruibosu!
