Vladimir Putin's official car has been involved in a head-on crash in Moscow, killing the Russian president's 'favourite chauffeur'.
The head-on collision involved Vladimir Putin's official black BMW, though the Russian president was not in the car at the time.
CCTV taken on Kutuzovsky Avenue in Moscow shows the moment it was struck head-on by a vehicle which crossed over from the opposite side of the road.

Russian media claimed the BMW was driven by Putin's favourite official driver and that the man was killed instantly.
The driver is yet to be named but he has been reported to have had over 40 years of driving experience as an official driver.
The clean-up operation took a number of hours and Kutuzovsky Avenue was closed after the crash.

The car is officially registered as belonging to the Federation Council, or the Russian Senate.
Police have confirmed they are still investigating the incident.
