A woman met her future husband 30 years her junior after messaging the wrong number - and engaging in some serious text flirting.

Yup, while most of us would simply ignore a text from a random number, simply shrugging it off, in this case it not only led to a last friendship - but also romance.

Businesswoman Kasey Bergh was 52 when she sent out a text she thought was destined for a colleague while on a business trip in Denver in 2012, asking them if they wanted to hang out.

But to Kasey's surprise, that was when 22-year-old Henry Glendening replied, saying: "Sorry, you've got the wrong number. But if I wasn't headed to work I'd be down to hang."

The smooth cookie.

The two continued to chat, and texted back and forth for a week before arranging to go and watch rock band Third Eye Blind together. (Sorry, you might have to squint a little to read these, but you get the picture.)

Kasey, now 59, told KSDK: "Halfway through the concert, he was standing behind me and put his hands on my hips and I could have been the woman that said, 'Hey, Bucko! You don't put your hands on me.'

"But I just was like, 'Oh well, this is interesting'."

Fast forward to the present day and the two are now happily married and living together in St Louis, Missouri - a framed print-out of their initial exchange proudly hanging on the wall.

Their love is so strong that Henry, who's now 29, even gave his wife on of his kidneys after they discovered he was a 'perfect immunological match', with Kasey referring to how he 'stepped up like a hero'.

However, as with all relationships, things are never completely plain-sailing.

"I don't necessarily want people to look at it as a fairy tale," Kasey said.

"So they might meet somebody in a random way. He might be 30 years younger than them and they might go, after they're in it, they might just be like, 'Oh, this is hard'.

"We're a work in progress and we have worked and worked."

Henry also explained how strangers have mistaken them for mother and son in the past, adding: "Like Mother's Day one year we're at the hardware store and the cashier remarks, 'It's so nice of you to be helping your mother, you know, on a day like today'.

"And of course, you know, I stepped in to clarify, she's not my mom. This is my wife."
