Donald Trump claimed Jeffrey Epstein ‘stole’ Virgina Giuffre and other young women.
In a shock revelation on his way back from Scotland yesterday (29 July), the US president was speaking further about his friendship with the sex offender.
Trump and Epstein were once good friends for over a decade, but fell out in the early 2000s.
In recent weeks, senior White House aides have suggested that the president cut things off with the financier in around 2004 and expelled him from his Mar-a-Lago country club.

Spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement that Trump kicked Epstein ‘out of his club for being a creep’.
The President said at the start of the week that it had been because he ‘did something that was inappropriate', particularly that he had ‘stole people’ that worked for him.

And a reporter asked him onboard Air Force One: “The workers that were taken from you – were some of them young women?”
Trump said they were, and that they were ‘people that worked in the spa’.

“People would come and complain ‘this guy is taking people from the spa’ – I didn’t know that,” he claimed. “And then when I heard about it, I told him: ‘Listen, we don’t want you taking our people, whether it was spa or not spa.’
“I don’t want him taking people, and he was fine and then not too long after that, he did it again. I said ‘out of here’.”
A reporter asked Trump if one of those ‘stolen’ people included Giuffre as he first answered: “I don’t know, I think she worked at the spa.”
He then went on to say: “I think that was one of the people, yeah. He stole her. And by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know. None whatsoever.”

Giuffre has said she began working at the country club in the summer of 2000 at the age of 16.
As revealed in court documents unsealed in 2019, she alleged Ghislaine Maxwell recruited her while she was working at the spa, to give Epstein massages.
A brave accuser, Giuffre accused both Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse which they both denied. The advocate of justice for survivors of sex trafficking died by suicide at the age of 41 at her home in Australia earlier this year.
There is currently increasing pressure on Trump officials to release the ‘Epstein files’ as he frustrates even the most staunch MAGA supporters with the failings to bring out a rumoured ‘client list’.
