Bearing in mind the fact that esports is one of the fastest-growing sports on earth, Ireland now has its very own space for gamers to hone their craft. Red Bull’s new Gaming Hub in SETU Waterford is so much more than just a place to come and play video games; every single aspect of it has been created to nurture the next generation of talent to be the best they can be.

No stone was left unturned. From building a custom-made 5v5 table that prevents screen watching from competitors (think of the arguments that could have been prevented at home!) to little things like keeping the playing area free of clutter and cables, it’s built to be like a high-performance centre for gamers.

Win the gaming experience of a lifetime

Red Bull has long been synonymous with esports and organises annual gaming tournaments like Red Bull Campus Clutch and Red Bull MEO. Their aim is to give wiiings to Irish players and help them to compete at a high level, so it makes sense for them to create something like this here and give gamers access to a space unlike anything else in Ireland.

This is the kind of place where you know within seconds of entering that you’re going to need to be dragged out. Whether you want to compete against gamers of all experience levels, hang out with friends or make connections in the Irish gaming scene that will last a lifetime, the benefits of having a space like this cannot be overstated.

You can find out more about this incredible facility below, but wouldn’t it be even better if you got to see it all for yourself? We are giving away the opportunity for you and three mates to be given an access-all-areas pass to the Red Bull Gaming Hub in SETU Waterford.

To be in with a chance of winning this unforgettable experience, head over to our LADbible Ireland Instagram and check out our competition post!

A one-of-a-kind gaming hub

The hub isn’t just decked out, it is SERIOUSLY decked out. From a casual gaming area with Xbox consoles, bone-rattling surround sound and beanbags to custom-made gaming tables designed specifically for different competitions, it’s the kind of set-up you used to only be able to dream of if you had a particularly creative mind.

In terms of hardware, some of the best partners you could have asked for have come on board to make sure everyone has the very best of gear. Intel NUC is the official PC partner for the hub, bringing their renowned gaming PCs to the table and offering top-notch support.

Headsets, mice and keyboards will be provided by SteelSeries, with the renowned brand being the hub’s peripherals sponsor. It’s only right that gamers can compete in total comfort, so as well as that Backforce will be decking the place out with their state-of-the-art ergonomic gaming chairs.

Esports so often comes down to tiny margins, with a split-second decision being what determines who comes out on top. All PCs are centrally connected to a dedicated LAN network to avoid interruptions, running at a high speed with a consistently low ping rate.

These split-second opportunities only matter if you can see every detail, and having a strong display setup can make all the difference. AGON by AON has partnered up with Red Bull to provide performance gaming monitors for the space, so you can rest assured that every single detail will be shown in perfect clarity.

It’s also got its own chill out zone, where students can pick up a cold can of Red Bull to sip on while working on whatever else they need to do. They can get cracking on their assignments, read some articles on LADBible Ireland or make use of the high-speed internet.

This is the first gaming hub of its kind in Ireland, but may not come as a surprise to anyone who has noticed how popular esports has become. It was a huge investment by Red Bull in Irish gaming, but it’s no stretch to say that a space like this is going to put Ireland on the map quicker than a respawn.
