The terrifying moment that sparks flew from a Ryanair jet after its nose wheel collapsed has been captured on film.
The frightening incident happened as the plane was landing at Dublin Airport on Sunday afternoon (9 April) following a short flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
A video of the incident showed sparks flying from the front wheel of the aircraft as it slowed down when the brakes were applied after landing.

An emergency was declared after the plane landed, with officials saying the aircraft had experienced a 'minor issue' with its landing gear.
While no injuries were initially reported after the Ryanair flight arrived from Liverpool, other clips taken shortly after show emergency crews rushing to the plane, which may have simply been a precaution.
Pictures taken after the plane had come to a halt show the front wheel and its landing mechanism completely crumpled beneath the huge aircraft.
'The Dublin Airport Fire Service responded and the passengers disembarked the aircraft normally once the all-clear was given by the Airport Fire Officer,' a statement from the Dublin Airport Authority said.
Passengers were met by National Ambulance Service personnel and medics upon their arrival inside the terminal building in case they needed medical assistance following the incident.
A statement from the service said: "This is now an aircraft recovery incident. There are no reports of any injuries although one person was treated for shock.
"National Ambulance Service personnel met passengers on arrival. The South Runway remains closed and the North Runway is in use this evening due to the emergency."
Ryanair said in a statement that the plane experienced 'a minor technical issue' with its nose landing gear upon landing.
It continued: "Passengers and crew disembarked normally and the aircraft will shortly be towed back to the hangar for further inspection by Ryanair engineers."
A passenger who spoke to the Irish Sun said of the incident: "It did feel at one point the plane was going to tip sideways then it turned off runway and stopped dead.
"It all happened so quickly it took some moments to realise what had happened."
Some people who viewed the video spoke out in defence of the airline's actions, with one saying: "I guess people can now stop making fun of Ryanair pilots’ rough landings."
Another joked: "That pilot probally got a raise," while a third simply said: "Wow."
When contacted by LADbible, a spokesperson from Ryanair said: "This flight from Liverpool to Dublin (9 Apr) experienced a minor technical issue with its nose landing gear upon landing.
"Passengers and crew disembarked normally and the aircraft will shortly be towed back to the hangar for further inspection by Ryanair engineers."
Meanwhile a spokesperson for Dublin Airport Authority, the operator of Dublin Airport, told LADbible: "A Full Emergency was declared at Dublin Airport on Sunday following the arrival of Ryanair flight FR5542 from Liverpool.
"The Dublin Airport Fire Service responded, and the passengers disembarked the aircraft normally. There were no reports of any injuries. Flights into Dublin Airport were suspended during the incident."
