People have been left in stitches over a video of what happened when a customer's Salt Bae restaurant experience went t**s up. Catch the clip here:

Salt Bae's Nusr-Et restaurants have worked up quite the name for themselves due to their glitz, glamour and extortionately priced steaks.

However, at one of the the restauranteur's places in Istanbul, the expensive steak didn't appear quite so valuable to one member of staff.

The video, posted to TikTok by a user named @zabed99, shows a waiter cutting up the steaks on wooden chopping boards at the table.

After swiftly getting through one, the staff member attends to the second.

However, he gets too carried away with his knife, slicing so vigorously that he knocks the third steak completely off the table.

Fair play to the waiter, he doesn't waste any time crying about it.

He simply glances back briefly, before turning around, seemingly not caring he has just knocked a piece of meat which is probably equivalent to about one months rent to the floor, now rendering it inedible.

Another waiter then proceeds to pick the steak back up - the fate of it left unknown.

The waiter barely gave the dropped steak a glance before carrying on with his task.

The video has since amassed over 100,000 views, 2,000 likes and hundreds of comments with users having flooded to the post in amusement.

One joked: "He charged twice for the same steak that fell.."

However, the knocking of the steak to the floor may not have been seen as much of a loss by one customer who reviewed the steaks as 'above average but nothing more'.

They said: "I have been to better steak houses that have no reputation at all compared to the food here.

"We had no sides delivered and so I asked the waiter if they were on the way, at this point the response became very short and blunt as if I had made a mistake, the staff then came mid meal and warned us that we had 30 minutes (he was placing our sides on the table when he said it!) so that we could allow others to use the table as there is a quick turnover time.

"It's like IKEA, it looks good but it's poor quality (service and food). I actually opted not to have Nusret [owner, Nusret Gökçe] to cut our steak, I just wanted good food.

"Don't follow the hype, if you want good food there are hundreds of better options for good food in London, whatever your price range is."

Or alternatively, go to one of Salt Bae's restaurants and station yourself under a table, so you can try nabbing one off the floor to sample the 'above average but nothing more' steak for free.
