Belgium's Michy Batshuayi Got Whacked In The Face Celebrating Goal At World Cup Against England

England faced Belgium in their last match of the group stages at the World Cup and, I'm not going to lie, it hurt to see Adnan Januzaj put one past Jordan Pickford.

But as much as it hurt me, it definitely hurt Belgium's Michy Batshuayi because as he was celebrating his team's goal, he kicked the ball and blammo, it ricocheted right back into his face, creating absolute Twitter Gold.

I mean, we really shouldn't gloat at the sight of a fella getting whacked in the face by a ball, but...well, here we are.

Maybe that goal-post was English?

And it's not just me who enjoyed watching the poor bugger get smashed in the face, Batshuayi quickly began trending on Twitter with fans from all teams jumping in to take the piss:

The man himself has responded to all the online-attention he's getting and he seems to be taking it quite well, the fact his team won probably helped:

People are already saying it's stiff competition for Iran's Milad Mohammadi forward roll as moment of the tournament so far.

Mohammadi kissed the ball, pointed to the sky and looked like he was going to be helping his team equalise with Spain.

However, when he went ahead and attempted a forward roll, he seemingly forgot what he was going, refused to let go of the ball and...well, it was just a very awkward forward-roll.

Ah, I just love the World Cup, don't you?
