Conor McGregor Tells Fans: "See You In The Octagon"
Despite only announcing his retirement nine days ago, it looks as though Conor McGregor might not be putting his fighting days behind him after all.
The UFC star announced he was quitting MMA on Twitter last week, saying: "Hey guys quick announcement, I've decided to retire from the sport formally known as 'Mixed Martial Art' today. I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
"I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!"
But now, he's posted a tweet which finishes saying: 'see you in the Octagon'.
I want to move forward, with my fans of all faiths and all backgrounds.
All faiths challenge us to be our best selves.
It is one world and one for all
Now see you in the Octagon.

It seems as though UFC boss Dana White also saw this coming; in an interview with Las Vegas' Channel 8, when asked if he believed McGregor had retired, he replied: "No. I think that there's some things that Conor wants and I think that Conor wants to get together face to face, he and I, and we probably will in the next couple of weeks and we'll get this thing figured out."
According to reports, McGregor is keen to get his hands on a piece of the UFC, but it looks like White isn't going to be relinquishing any shares just yet.
He continued: "Listen, who gets respected more than Conor McGregor does? Come on. The guy's never been disrespected, definitely not by me. And he's got a lot of money too.
"But he's stuck on this thing where he wants a piece of the ownership and that's just - if you look at basketball, Michael Jordan didn't own a piece of the league, and the list goes on and on. Is Conor very valuable to the sport and to the brand, the UFC? Of course he is. That's a tough one, but I think there's other ways that we can make him happy."
His possible un-retirement comes just hours after he was very publicly slammed for posting a tweet in which he shared a photo of Nurmagomedov and one of his wife, writing: "Your wife is a towel mate."
He has since deleted the tweet, but not before fight-fans called out McGregor, with one posting: "You're a racist scumbag for calling Khabib's wife a towel. You may have deleted the tweet but it's too late. I pray for your own good you never cross paths with him or it's game over for you, this time possibly for good 'mate'. Actions have consequences."
And another adding: "Conor McGregor is a massive racist. Though we knew he was already, he has just stepped it up a gear. We know full well what happens when that kind of language is normalised."
