Andrew Tate responds after being left bloodied in controversial comeback fight

Fans were left in shock at the scorecard following Andrew Tate’s comeback fight last night (20 December).

The extremely controversial influencer ended up bloodied after he faced heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor in his Misfits Boxing debut. While there were calls for the Prime Minister to extradite the self-described misogynist to the UK, Tate travelled to Dubai with many favouring him for the win.

However, the American actor won favour with the judges in the end, having entered the ring seven times this year.

This face-off marked Tate’s first fight in five years, having retired from kickboxing following his world championship-winning career in the sport. But, as he responded on social media afterwards, it seems the ‘Cobra’ had ‘been out too long’.

“Chase is a true champion,” he said.

And the scorecard was pretty close, with DeMoor defeating Tate on a split decision.

Two of the judges scored it 58-56 but the third reportedly drew ‘disbelief’ from the crowd in Dubai as they somehow decided it was a draw and scored it 57-57.

Even Tate seems to disagree with that as he wrote that he ‘lost fair and square’ and during the press conference he said he felt he ‘won the first two rounds’. And obviously, winning two out of the six rounds in total would not make it a draw.

In the third round, DeMoor got down and into it, seeming to catch Tate off guard and going on to impose himself, seeming to look for a knockout. With blood pouring down his face, it did look like Tate was on the verge of crashing out but he somehow kept going, leading to DeMoor winning on points.

And it’s hardly a surprise he took to socials afterwards to share some kind of poetic like statement in his 'manfluencer' style.

Tate wrote: “99.9 per cent of 40 year old men with 700 million dollars sit around with wh*res.

“I could have done the same and talked sh*t on the Internet and took no risks and just lived easy.

“In my heart I knew I’m too old. I knew I’d been out too long. That’s why I had to do it.

To face fear. I can’t live scared. I have to know I faced it.

“I lost fair and square. Chase is a true champion. A warrior - I’m proud of him.

“He deserves that belt.”

He also said following the fight that it’s ‘better to try and lose than to not try at all’ as he also wrote on X: "Most men have never felt the sting of defeat because most men have never even tried."

Well, politicians have been trying to urge Sir Keir Starmer to use Tate’s journey to Dubai as the impetus to extradite him to the UK where he and his brother Tristan face a series of 21 charges, including rape, assault, human trafficking and controlling prostitution.

Shadow foreign secretary Dame Priti Patel said: “The Tate brothers face extremely serious charges and it is long since time they were brought to face justice in the UK.

“The Prime Minister must call on the Dubai authorities to arrest them when they visit and extradite them so they the proper judicial process can take place.”
