Yesterday's Club World Cup final was surprising for more than just what happened on the pitch, as Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to take home the trophy.
Cole Palmer scored twice and Joao Pedro added another as Enzo Maresca's side comfortably beat the Champions League winners at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey, with US President Donald Trump even managing to join in with the celebrations at full-time.
While the 79-year-old has also been slammed for the 'absurd' interview he gave to broadcasters DAZN at full-time, it may not have even been the worst thing viewers witnessed during the final, as the big fixture even adopted the very American approach of having a half-time show.
Fortunately, it wasn't quite as long as the Super Bowl shows, but it seems as if the vast majority of football fans weren't too impressed with the performances of Doja Cat, Tems and J Balvin during the half-time break, which clearly did nothing to inspire a PSG comeback.

The musical show was arranged by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, at the request of FIFA president Gianni Infantino, but it seems as if Brits will never truly accept the concept of a half-time show, instead preferring to use that time to get a pie and a pint - or a Bovril, depending on the time of the year and whether you're northern or southern.
One fan wrote: "This gotta be the worst halftime show in the history of sports."

While a third said: "Hello USA, football fans don’t want a show at halftime, they want a pie and a pint."
The comments did not stop with another saying: "Americans suck with this halftime show nonsense."

While they had far less time to work with, it certainly didn't live up to the performance of Kendrick Lamar, especially after he unveiled some very special guests during his half-time show at the Super Bowl this year.
Considering that next summer's World Cup is due to take place in the United States, as well as Canada and Mexico, sadly this may not be the last we've seen of outlandish half-time shows during the football.
