Rumours abound that Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancé Georgina Rodriguez are about to tie the knot, this very day (1 August) in fact.
That's because they've been together for a very long time, nine years in fact, and Ronaldo said he'd be making an honest woman out of her after the World Cup.
He'd told Piers Morgan: "I hope to arrive at my wedding with the champion’s trophy. I’m going to marry her because I believe it’s the right time. Not just because she’s the mother of my children — but because she’s the person I love most."
A 'leaked' wedding invitation with today as the date of the nuptials poured fuel on the fire of the rumours that Ronaldo and Rodriguez would be saying 'I do' at Quinta da Regaleira.

However, Spanish outlet Hola! has rather debunked that claim and appears to have found the truth behind the rumours, that they aren't getting married today and the wedding will be taking place at a later date.

There had already been some suspicion over the 'leaked' wedding invitation over what time people were supposed to be arriving for the big day, with some versions of the invitation circulating online saying 2pm and others 5pm.
Another big clue is that the supposed wedding venue is still open to the public today, which seems like a difficult prospect if one of the world's most famous athletes was meant to be having a wedding there on the same day.
Otherwise the guests would be not only everyone invited but everybody else who turned up at the venue for another purpose that day.
Also, to hammer the nail in the coffin Hola! says the venue is also hosting an evening performance from a singer, so fitting that in along with a wedding for Ronaldo seems tricky.
Oh, and a family statement has rather clearly denied that the wedding is taking place today, so that would seem to settle the matter.

Ronaldo popped the question last year, explaining that he'd done it at about one in the morning when one of his friends dropped off the ring and his kids crashed the party to insist that he get on with it.
He'd said: "It was like 1 am. My daughters were in bed sleeping.
"One of my friends gave me the ring to offer Gio, and as I was giving her the ring, my two kids come in and say: 'Daddy, you're going to give the ring to mum and you're going to ask her to get married'.
"I said: 'Wow, this is the right moment to say yes'. It was the time. I knew that I was going to do it one day, but I hadn't planned to do it then."
The Portuguese footballer may have more time to devote to his wife and family in upcoming years as the 41-year-old's playing career is certainly closer to the end than the beginning.
He didn't win the World Cup like he was hoping to in his description of an ideal proposal and he's currently kicking a ball in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr, so he might soon be looking for a place to hang up the boots.
LADBible has approached representatives of Ronaldo for comment.
