Cristiano Ronaldo wedding guest list 'leaked' as surprise ceremony rumours grow

A 'leaked' wedding invitation has further fuelled rumours that the wedding of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez is fast approaching.

The pair had been together for around nine years when they decided to tie the knot last year, and ever since speculation has mounted about when the big day will be.

Ronaldo, 41, has so far been guarded about when he would marry Georgina, and has already been referring to her as his wife since 2025.

But while the precise date has not been confirmed, now reports of a 'leaked' invitation have got many people thinking that the wedding may in fact be on 1 August.

News reports in Portugal have suggested that the big day could be imminent, with the Portuguese programme V+Fama receiving a copy of the supposed invitation.

This read: "Together with their families, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez request the honour of your presence at the celebration of their marriage."

But there are already concerns about whether the invitation is actually genuine, as some eagle-eyed viewers have noticed a discrepancy on the invite.

This is that some versions of the invitation informed people that the ceremony was at 5pm, but others said that it would be at 2pm.

It's not been confirmed who exactly will be invited to the wedding, but for someone like Ronaldo there has been speculation that the list is likely to include some big names.

There would of course be plenty of footballers, with some suggested names including Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Rio Ferdinand slated to attend.

Piers Morgan has also been rumoured to be invited to the wedding, with Ronaldo previously revealing to Morgan that he had plans to marry Georgina after the conclusion of the World Cup.

And of course, the tournament has now concluded, leading to speculation only continuing to mount.

Speaking to Morgan, Ronaldo said: "I hope to arrive at my wedding with the champion’s trophy. I’m going to marry her because I believe it’s the right time. Not just because she’s the mother of my children — but because she’s the person I love most."

Ronaldo also said that he had asked Georgina to marry him in 2025 at around one in the morning, saying: "It was like 1 am. My daughters were in bed sleeping.

"One of my friends gave me the ring to offer Gio, and as I was giving her the ring, my two kids come in and say: 'Daddy, you're going to give the ring to mum and you're going to ask her to get married'.

"I said: 'Wow, this is the right moment to say yes'."

He added: "It was the time. I knew that I was going to do it one day, but I hadn't planned to do it then."

One source has also suggested that the celebrities present at the ceremony could cross over from the world of sport into the world of showbiz as well, with famous film and TV actors and musicians also potentially putting in an appearance.

This could, the Mirror reports, include Esther Exposito and Vin Diesel from the world of Hollywood, as well as big names like Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Drake.

Georgina had also taken to Instagram not long before the 'leaked' invite appeared, showing off expensive jewellery on their wedding fingers.

As to whether the rumours are true - only time will tell.
