Luke Littler has left people in stitches after revealing his morning routine ahead of tonight’s darts final.

The 16-year-old, from Cheshire, is on course to completing his history-making World Championship dream as he came out on top against Rob Cross in the semi-final.

Littler has become the youngest-ever finalist with the opportunity to produce one of the greatest sporting stories of all time.

In the semi final, he won 6-2 in sets and produced three 130-plus checkouts, averaging 106.05 in a convincing performance.

“I haven’t got the words. It’s crazy,” he said.

“I have just settled on that stage.

“It has not even sunk in yet.

“I have surprised myself.

“I have just got to stay focused and be Luke Littler.

“I have got to be mature and be myself.

“It would be unbelievable if I won it, I only wanted to win one match.”

Littler is also on track to becoming a very wealthy young man as reaching the final will see him earn £200,000 and if he manages to go all the way he'll get a whopping £500,000.

This evening (3 January), it's new world number one Luke Humphries that stands in his way.

He will come up against his toughest opponent yet in Humphries, who won his first major title at the World Grand Prix in October, 2023.

And with all that seems to be going his way, the young lad has revealed the unexpected secret to his success.

“I’ll keep doing what I have been doing,” he said on Sky Sports.

“I don’t wake up until 12, in the morning go for my ham and cheese omelette, come here and have my pizza, and then go on the practice board.

“It is what I have been doing every day - if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.”

Can't argue with that.

Viewers have been left in stitches at the dart player's morning routine, with one person tweeting: "Is he Taylor in disguise?"

"I’m naming my future kid after him," another joked.

"Rice cakes and fish," quipped a third.

Whatever happens in tonight's final, Luke ‘the Nuke’ has already made history by becoming the youngest person to win a quarter final game at the World Darts Championships.

And this all happened after he faced one of his own heroes, Raymond van Barneveld.

After beating the Dutchman, Littler said: “It's incredible beating one of my idols on the biggest stage of all, I still can't believe it. I think I am daring to dream now, I have seen the draw.

“I'm so young, only 16 and I have got nothing to fear, I have got no one to fear, my game can be better than anyone's on the day and I have shown it there against one of the greatest to have graced that stage.

“With performances like that I can go all the way. I've pictured myself winning it.

"I fancy myself. I do fancy myself."
