Infamous psychic Baba Vanga, who has been credited with correctly predicting the Covid-19 pandemic and the 9/11 attacks, has now been linked to a startling prediction for next year.
The blind Bulgarian grandmother has been dead for around three decades but the predictions she made prior to her death are still playing out.
For 2026, Baba Vanga predicted natural disasters, which we’ve sadly seen more than a few of, and also apparently warned that this would be the year humanity realised it had gone 'too far' with artificial intelligence as humans will find themselves replaced by machines.
An impressive feat for someone who died years before AI was created.

Looking to 2027, which is creeping ever closer, Baba Vanga allegedly warned that some people could end up with ‘superhuman-like traits’, a bit like in The Boys.
According to the Daily Mail, Baba Vanga’s supposed prophecy suggested that a mysterious disease or genetic experiment will bring about these superpowers.

However, there are no further details on what the abilities may be or how the transformation from human to superhuman might play out - so it looks as though we’ll just have to wait and see.
The modern account claims that only some people will get the extra abilities, which again, is pretty similar to how it works in The Boys.
However, before we rush ahead to 2027, there are actually still some predictions yet to come true this year.
First up, Baba Vanga reckoned this is the year an alien spaceship arrives and predicted that humanity's first contact will happen no later than November, which means we don’t have too long to wait to see if that happens.
Another one of her big calls for 2026 is that World War Three could be on the cards.
Not only did Baba Vanga predict but fellow late psychic Nostradamus also thought this could be the year for WWIII.
Baba Vanga also suggested that we could see a change in Russia’s leadership before the year is out.

Now, before you get too concerned about WWIII or the prospect of your best mate getting superpowers and you getting nothing, it’s important to remember that Baba Vanga never wrote down her predictions when she was alive.
Instead, they have been passed on by those closest to her, including her niece Krasimira Stoyanova.
This means that some folks have claimed there’s a chance they have been misinterpreted and, as other experts have pointed out in the past, a lot of the claims are so vague it’s fair to say they’re not exactly grounded in fact and are more like speculative guesses.
It’s also important to note that 2026 isn’t the first time it’s been claimed Baba Vanga predicted that aliens would make contact with us humans.
Back in 2024, it was reported that 2025 would be the year alien lifeforms touched down on Earth.
Of course, as we all know, that didn’t happen, so maybe don’t get your hopes up about gaining those superhuman powers just yet.
