Tom Daley's Team GB teammate has one specific rule when it comes to doing OnlyFans

Tom Daley's Team GB teammate has one specific rule when it comes to doing OnlyFans

Members of the Team GB diving team have started earning cash from OnlyFans

He might already have an Olympic gold medal to his name, but for Team GB athlete Jack Laugher, starting up an OnlyFans was essential when it came to funding his dream for more glory from the diving board.

Part of the Team GB diving team, alongside the likes of British sporting icon Tom Daley, Laugher has opened up about his journey in to the world of OnlyFans and offering content for a premium.

But for Laugher, there is one very specific rule when it comes to posting content to the subscription service that is, for many, synonymous with adult content.

"I try and make extra money," Laugher, 29, told the Telegraph.

"Obviously, I’ve got something people want, and I’ll happily cash in on that.

"I’m a bit of a hustler and I want a bit more money if I can."

OnlyFans started up back in 2016, based in London. Since then it has grown in to a hugely popular media-viewing platform, with sex workers dominating the service and using it to sell NSFW adult content.

The OF boom happened during the Covid pandemic when billions around the world found themselves stuck indoors for length periods of times. As of 2023, it has three million creators and 220 million users.

For Laugher, he offers a subscription service of $10 (£7.80) a month. If you want to go all in for the year, there's a reduce flat fee of $102 (£79).

Don't expect to find what you might be thinking, though. There is strictly no nudity on Laugher's page, which makes him different from many of the creators on there.

Alongside Laugher, his fellow teammate Noah Williams has also started an OnlyFans career.

Laugher said: "I was the first person to do it in our team.

"Dad was saying to me - 'You put stuff out on Instagram for free – but when the product is free, like Instagram is, you are the product'. So now I’m giving people stuff which is very similar to what I post online, but it’s for a small subscription fee.

"There’s loads of us – not just me and Noah – [but] myself and Noah are the big two right now on it. All of us are in the same position.

"It’s actually quite nice to all be on board together. And I’ve had other athletes from other nations message me."

You can't blame the diver when athletics is the only sport awarding prize-money at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite the billions raked in by the International Olympic Committee, just $50,000 (£38,850) is on offer for the gold medallists in athletics. The rest don't get a penny on top of domestic funding.

Laugher said: "Just like most Olympic sports, there isn’t a lot of money in diving.

"The funding [in diving] hasn’t changed. When I first went on [in 2011], it was £21,000 for the top eight in the world. And at the time, as a 16-year-old, I was buzzing.

"But I’m almost 30 now, I’m top three in the world, and it is £28,000 a year, which is obviously a very good salary. It’s a very liveable one. I’m in such a lucky, lucky position."
