A sweaty boot to the face isn't usually par for the course when you pay good money to attend a professional wrestling match.
Yet during a House of Glory promotion in New York last weekend, wrestling competitor Charles 'The Root of All Evil' Mason took it upon himself to dish out this foul manoeuvre after growing tired of his rival Andrade El Ídolo's antics with the crowd.
Midway through their dust-up, former WWE star El Ídolo (who now performs for AEW) stepped away from the theatrical violence for a second, grabbing a female spectator's phone and striking a pose for a video.
Just as he handed the device back over to the delighted fan, though, her face was introduced to Mason's airborne foot.

House of Glory shared the video across their numerous social media accounts, writing: "Andrade went for the selfie.
Mason went for the jugular. The most shocking moment of the night. NYC will never forget this one."

Having watched the sportsman bulldoze his way into the shot in the craziest way possible, one of the commentators reacted: "Oh my God! He just broke that person's bottle, and Andrade can't believe what he saw!"
In retaliation, the irritated El Ídolo dealt Mason a Yakuza kick.
"And Andrade is angry, just look at this!" added the commentator.
The wrestling fandom couldn't believe what they'd just witnessed either, as one person said: "Lmao, Mason straight YEETED her."
A second commented: "Ahh, she out cold," while a third wrote: "Damn it's dangerous ringside."
A fourth and fifth user went on to write: "I hope she's okay, geez", and "Hopefully she's a plant and knew this was coming."
Once El Ídolo forced his fellow wrestler back within the ropes, he charged through the barriers to console the devastated fan, whose identity remains a mystery.
Cameras caught her seemingly smiling as the Mexican athlete offered her a comforting embrace.
Mason later shared the video on his Instagram, writing: "A picture says 1000 words. This video says “fuck these h**s.”

In response to someone in the comments asking if she was 'hurt for real', he responded: "She’s dead."
El Ídolo later won the contest via pinfall, which is a move constructed by holding an opponent's shoulders to the mat for a three-count by the referee.
Last year, El Ídolo made a surprise appearance during the House Of Glory’s ‘Winter Warfare’, where he took to the ring wearing a mask and a three-piece suit.
He then wrestled with Mason, who'd just retained his championship title in a fight with Mustafa Ali.
El Idolo then dramatically removed his mask to much fanfare, with PWPondering noting that this was his first independent wrestling appearance in the US in quite a while.
