Lya Melendez and her partner Nickolas Jasper went viral last month after bumping into former adult star Mia Khalifa while they were on their honeymoon. Watch Lya's TikTok below:
Nickolas spotted Mia when out with Lya for dinner in Paris, and Lya was less than amused by how excited her husband got over the encounter. To make up for it, Nickolas bought Lya a Birkin bag worth thousands - not too shabby, aye?

Lya has now spoken publicly about the encounter with Mia, calling the situation ‘funny’ and emphasising that she was only ‘teasing’ Nickolas in her video.
After spotting Mia, Lya explained in a now-viral TikTok video that Nickolas ‘texted all his friends’ and ‘got way too excited’.
Mia herself even commented on Lya’s post, saying: "Girl my man was on his phone the whole time, I say we throw them all away and go shopping tomorrow."
Lya then replied: "I’m currently at Hermes across the street, feel free to meet me here," to which Mia said, "Good, he owes you a Birkin."
Shortly afterwards, both Lya and Mia appeared in a follow-up video filmed by Nickolas in which Lya revealed her husband had in fact bought her a Birkin, jokingly calling Mia her new bag’s ‘godmother’.

Explaining the situation in a new interview, Lya told Buzzfeed: “I want to corroborate all the nice things people say about her [Mia].
“She was not just sweet and easygoing but she had depth and character, too. We both felt like we made a friend that day."
Lya also said it was ‘funny’ to see how many people reacted to her husband’s excitement over spotting Mia.
"It was funny to hear them say they would have been as 'excited' as Nicky and texted all their friends had they been in his shoes," she said.

After Nickolas bought Lya her handbag, she and Mia 'christened’ the item in a hilarious clip, with Mia saying: “I'm here at the christening of the Birkin... we're not going to dunk it in water because we don't do that to a Birkin.”
Mia added: "This was the best meeting ever and also her husband that we were talking s**t about is the one filming this right now,” before Lya quipped: “What a time to be alive.”
Mia herself was delighted by the exchange, sharing a screenshot of one of Lya's videos on Twitter alongside the caption: "This influencer staying at my hotel in Paris posted a TikTok feeling bad cause her man was excited to see me walk by at dinner last night, and this morning he bought her a birkin to make up for it. A *BIRKIN*!!"
