Well, we’re not even one week in and we’ve had a stadium load of viral moments from this year’s World Cup already.
From the sit-down friendlies dinners at corner flags and England v USA football chants to Shakira conspiracy theories and failed pitch invaders, the fever’s hot.
And amid all of these viral pictures and videos, was supposed footage of Mia Khalifa at Friday’s (12 June) USA and Paraguay game.
Images seemed to show the former adult star supporting the States in their victory alongside her fellow ex porn actor Lana Rhoades at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

It was claimed on social media that the pair were caught by TV cameras in cushty VIP-looking World Cup seats with fans joking it’s why the US were doing so well. However, Khalifa has now shut down these claims.

In case you can’t guess (or had fell for the images yourself), the viral snaps were clearly AI.
And the 33-year-old debunked them further as she shared Instagram Stories detailing what she was up to on Friday evening when the game was taking place.
One post showed her comfortably watching TV at home as she enjoyed NPR Music’s latest Tiny Desk Concert from The Paradox band.
Plus, just to emphasise further that she was absolutely not there, Khalifa reportedly commented on a viral post to clarify: “It’s AI, I wouldn’t have a team USA hat.”
She had also posted on X on Friday: “Today I am Bosnian, later this evening I am Paraguayan. Tomorrow at 6pm I am Moroccan, and at 9pm I am Haitian.”
However, Rhoades had a slightly different approach as she seemed to get on board with the viral posts and is reported to have jokingly shared snaps on social media to say: “Out to support my country in the World Cup.”

More savvy users of course turned to Grok (X's AI chatbot) to clarify if these images of Rhoades and Khalifa were real to quickly learn the truth: "No, this picture isn't real. Viral posts claim Lana Rhoades (left) and Mia Khalifa (right) attended the USA vs Paraguay World Cup match, but there's zero credible evidence.
“No posts from them, no official confirmation, and reports call it unverified rumor/meme/AI buzz. Just sharp-looking fans or edits sparking speculation. USA won 4-1 though.”
But still, plenty still believed the images were real as they joked: "Ohh now I know why USA was winning."
