Jennifer Aniston was recently left stunned when she thought she heard an interviewer call her a 'hooker'.

The Friends star appeared on This Morning this week alongside co-star Reese Witherspoon this week to talk about their Apple+ show The Morning Show.

But there was a clear bit of miscommunication, with Aniston not quite getting her head around interviewer Josie Gibson's accent.

During one part of the interview, the former Big Brother contestant broached the subject of social distancing and not being able to have contact with other people, asking Aniston: "Are you a hugger?"

But this is where it all went wrong.

With a confused look on her face, the 52-year-old snaps back: "Am I a hooker?"

The actor was clearly taken back from what she thought she heard.

To which a clearly quite panicked Josie screeches: "Noooooo! I did not say that!"

Laughing it off, a relieved Aniston says: "I'm sorry. I think that was lost in translation.

"It was a misunderstanding. Yes, I'm a hugger."

Gibson then adds: "So this has been really hard for people like us."

Before Witherspoon chimes in: "But she's not a hooker, no."

This isn't the only awkward moment Aniston has endured during her media obligations in the UK.

Last week, viewers were left cringing at at the pair's appearance on BBC's The One Show.

The interview started off pretty smoothly with host Zoe Ball's first set of questions for the Hollywood actor.

Ball asked Aniston what it was like doing behind-the-scenes work with a real morning TV show in relation to her fictional series.

The actor explained: "I learned the slow burn that it is.

"It's a very vampire state of life and mind that you guys live in. Everybody comes alive in the middle of the night and it's a slow-moving train."

She continued: "I got there at five in the morning and the hallways were quiet and people are just slowly waking up and then all of a sudden, the train starts moving and it gets crazier and crazier.

"It's utter chaos."

Ball's co-host Jermaine Jenas then responded by saying: "Reese, I am going to be honest with you. Jennifer pretty much sold it to be that she is not a morning person, so I am going to ask you, are you a morning person?"

This is when Aniston sarcastically replied with: "Did I sell that to you?"

Jenas responded: "A little bit."

Then she continued: "Did I get a good deal?"

Yikes.
