How to watch Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch using DAZN on a TV

Boxing fans are eagerly anticipating the biggest fight of the year and there are a number of different ways to tune in.

Closing 2024 with a bang, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will go head to head on Saturday December 21 for the second time with the Saudi Arabia rematch to be streamed live in the UK this weekend.

The clash will see Usyk defend his IBO, WBO, and WBC heavyweight titles. Meanwhile, the ‘Gypsy King’ hopes to make a comeback after his first professional career defeat to the Ukrainian boxer six months ago.

Below, find out everything you need to know, from timings and predictions to how to stream the fight live in the UK.

What time does the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch start?

Fury will face Usyk in Saudi Arabia on Saturday December 21 with the ring walk scheduled for 10pm in the UK. UK coverage will kick off from around 4pm.

How to watch the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch in the UK

There are three different ways to catch the action from the comfort of your couch:

1) First up: You can watch the rematch on DAZN with no subscription required. All you need to do is buy the PPV for £24.99 and you will automatically get a seven-day free trial which you can later cancel to stop the subscription from rolling over. You’ll be able to stream the match on a range of devices including PlayStation, Chromecast, and Smart TV. If you do decide to roll over your free trial, you’ll move onto a monthly plan costing £24.99 per month and get access to over 150 fights every year, with the option to cancel with 30 days’ notice. 2) You can also tune into the live event on Sky Sports Box Office (Sky channel 491). The match is priced at £24.95 for Sky customers in the UK and €27.95 if you’re based in the Republic of Ireland.

Sadly Sky does not offer free trials, but subscribers can book the match here and if you’re new to Sky, you can sign up here. In case you miss it, Sky Sports Box Office will show repeats of the match at 8am and 6pm on Sunday December 22 - good to know.

3) You can also tune in via TNT. The match costs £24.99 in the UK and can be watched on discovery+, EE TV, Virgin Media TV, and Prime Video. You don’t need to be a TNT Sports subscriber to buy the event.

What happened in the last Usyk vs Fury fight?

Back in May, Usyk defeated Fury via split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in almost 25 years. A rematch was scheduled for autumn, but had to be postponed to allow the boxing legends to recover from facial injuries.

How to watch DAZN on the TV

There are lots of different ways to watch DAZN, whether you have an Apple TV, Playstation or Fire Stick. All you need to do is create a DAZN account, sign up to the trial (or choose a payment plan), and download the DAZN app to watch on the device of your choice.

You will need to purchase the boxing match (PPV) to tune in, it's not included in the offer. Below, find out everything you need to know.

Smart TV

If you have a smart TV, you need to search for the DAZN app on the app store (you'll find it in the sports section), download, and sign into your account to start watching. You need to make sure your device is connected to the internet first. If you have an Apple TV, use the AirPlay feature to broadcast DAZN to your telly. If it isn't downloading, your TV may not be supported. If your TV is supported and it still isn't working, you may need to update your firmware.

Streaming devices such as Amazon Fire Stick

You can use Roku, Google Chromecast or an Amazon Fire Stick to stream the boxing match. Simply install the DAZN app and sign in to start streaming. If there's a recommendation to update the app, make sure to do so for a smooth watch.

Xbox or Playstation

If you have an Xbox or Playstation, you can access the DAZN app on your gaming console. All you need to do is download the app from the app store, log into your account and start streaming.

Chromecast or Apple AirPlay

You can also use Chromecast or Apple AirPlay to cast DAZN from your smartphone or tablet to your TV.
