A man who claims he is the secret love child of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall is heading to the Australian High Court to try and prove his theory.

Simon Charles Dorante-Day, who lives in Queensland, Australia, says he was born when Charles was 18 and Camilla Shand, as she was then called, was 19.

He reckons he was then placed up for adoption to avoid a royal scandal and is dead set on proving that he does have blue blood coursing through his veins and that, as he was born first, he is second-in-line to the throne, not Prince William.

Simon, 53, says his grandmother worked for the Queen and had told him 'outright' he was the secret child of Charles and Camilla 'so many times'.

Simon was born on 5 April 1966 in Gosport, Hampshire - this is around five years before Charles and Camila are said to have first met, but Simon is having none of it and says Camilla 'mysteriously disappeared for at least nine months in 1966' and that Prince Charles was 'sent on a tour of Australia' at around the same time.

Speaking to New Idea magazine he said: "This is most explosive thing that's ever happened to the palace.

"It's definitely the most significant step I've taken so far - I've had to force a deadline, hold them to a date, because we need answers.

"When I initially filed the papers in Queensland, the court staff laughed at me and bluffed me off."

He says he has now filed his claim with Aussie's High Court - as part of his claim he's asked for a 'statement of paternity' and for mediation.

He added: "When looking into my options, I received advice that led me to believe that it was best to take my case to the High Court.

"Charles, Camilla and the Queen have spent years hiding from the truth, running from the truth about me, but no more. We need answers."

Simon, who was adopted when he was 18 months old, has previously said that he knows the whole thing sounds pretty bizarre, but that he truly believes the royal couple are his biological parents.

He said: "I know it sounds unbelievable, but anything I say is checkable... I'm simply a man looking for my biological parents, and every road has led me back to Camilla and Charles."
