Christmas crackers are a staple of the festive season but while many of us aren't splashing out any more than five or six quid on them, luxury stores are offering customers their own premium crackers for hundreds of pounds.
Many may forget about Christmas crackers until the last minute but it seems that there are some on the market for those who feel particularly excited about pulling a cardboard paper tube apart at the dinner table.
Luckily, as with most things in the world, we can trust YouTubers to test these products out for our viewing pleasure, as content creator and comedian Robbie Knox decided to find out what's inside some of the more lavish Christmas crackers available on the British market.
Spending £700 on a pack of Christmas crackers, averaging out at about £115 to £120 per Christmas cracker, seems ludicrous to almost anyone. Nevertheless, anyone wanting to burn through some cash is treated to six gifts from luxury brands with a combined value of around £370.

Knox took to social media to post the video to those who may be wondering what makes these cardboard tubes so special.
He bought a number of these prestige crackers and opened them with a number of fellow YouTubers, revealing what you can expect in a 44-minute video.
The podcaster started by opening a cracker with Peter Dale, better known as Tubes, with the Soccer AM legend winning the pull and unveiling what was inside the large golden cracker, which was decorated with green velvet bows.

Needless to say that he was underwhelmed by what he found inside, pulling out a cardboard crown hat, even noting that there was 'no bang' noise when they pulled the cracker apart.
Inside it though, was a crystal Christmas tree ornament from Waterford which had a worth of about £85, in addition to a £50 voucher for the store, and while it made its value back, Tubes said he 'didn't really know what it was' until Knox told him.
While this gift wasn't a hit - Tubes rated the cracker six out of ten - there were still five more goodies to unveil.

Knox went on to meet the 'Cheap Holiday Expert', real name Chelsea Dickenson, who explained that the jewels and velvet used to decorate the cracker was likely worth '£20 each'.
Dickenson then won the pull, finding the same cardboard crown, noting that it was 'quite lovely' in a more positive outlook than Tubes, as she then pulled out a piece of paper with a fact about Harrods and the standard Christmas joke - which is included in each cracker.
It read: "What do you call a line of rabbits jumping backwards? A receding hare line." Not bad, all told.
As for this, the second cracker, a black bag containing a £50 silk eye mask from Gingerlily was inside, as well as another voucher to spend at Gingerlily at Harrods, making its value fairly worth it for what you get.
There were four more gifts to go - including some seriously expensive socks.

Knox then met up with a number of his other mates, with the likes of a Le Creuset bottle opener and bottle stopper (£70) being found inside one of the crackers.
There was also a Dr Vranjes leather oud room fragrancer (£48) and a pair of Shleep socks, which were shockingly worth £48 due to the Australian Merino wool used to make them.
On a cracker which Knox finally won, he got himself an Aspinal of London card holder (£70) and while this was one of the more luxurious brands in the video, he wasn't best pleased.
Those £5 Christmas crackers don't look so bad now, do they?
