The unidentified woman photographed lying underneath Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in the latest Epstein files is allegedly a sex trafficking victim.
Andrew, the former Duke of York, faces fresh scrutiny after the latest documents released in relation to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein included several images of him on all fours and kneeling over a woman whose identity had been redacted.
Now, a fiery exchange in a US Congressional hearing saw one US lawmaker allege the woman lying underneath him was a victim of sex trafficking.
Referencing the image, California congressman Ted Lieu asked: "Under the law Congress passed, you were allowed to react photos to protect victims of Epstein's sex trafficking operation.

"You redacted the photos of this victim's face because you were following congressional law. Is this correct?"
Bondi responded that this was true.
Lieu said: "You have now established that we are looking at a sex trafficking victim under the federal Victims Trafficking Protection Act. Not only is Jeffrey Epstein guilty, but anyone who patronised Epstein’s sex operation is also guilty of a crime.

"That’s why I find it absolutely despicable that you sought to protect Epstein’s clients, like former Prince Andrew."
Addressing US Attorney General Pam Bondi directly, he continued: "These two photos staring you in the face are evidence of a crime, and more than enough evidence to predicate an investigation against former Prince Andrew.
"So I asked you, Attorney General Counsel, why did you shut down this investigation last July? And why have you not prosecuted former Prince Andrew?"
"There are over 1,000 sex trafficking victims and you have not held a single man accountable. Shame on you. If you had any deceny you would resign right after this hearing concludes."
Mountbatten-Windsor himself has 'strongly denied' all allegations made against him. Being named in the Epstein files does not indicate wrongdoing or any knowledge of the disgraced financier's criminal activity.
The US Department of Justice said in July 2025 it did not find any evidence in the Epstein files that would warrant an investigation into 'uncharged third parties'.
The exchange follows confirmation that Thames Valley Police has consulted the Crown Prosecution Service about probing the former prince for misconduct in a public office regarding allegations that he leaked confidential reports to Epstein while working as a UK trade envoy for Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore.

Meanwhile, several senior members of the UK Royal Family have broken their silence over the disgraced ex-prince, revealing their concerns over the latest wave of allegations.
"I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations," read a statement from Kensington Palace, shared on behalf of Prince William and Princess Kate. "Their thoughts remain focused on the victims."
King Charles has also issued a rare statement on the matter, which read: "The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.
“While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police we stand ready to support them as you would expect.
“As was previously stated, Their Majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse."
