Jeremy Clarkson has shared footage of a man appearing to steal items from his Diddly Squat farm shop.

The former Top Gear host opened his Cotswolds farm shop back in 2020 and flogs all manner of items from food and drink to… erm candles that smell like his nether regions, in case you've ever needed one of those in your life.

In a recent post to his Instagram account, Clarkson shared footage from the shop’s CCTV which shows a man dressed in black, taking something from one of the shelves and slipping it into his pocket.

Sharing the clip, Clarkson wrote: “This man came ‘shopping’ at the farm shop. I would like to meet the cu.”

Fans of Clarkson were left shocked by the clip, with one of his followers writing: “Hopefully video sent to police for prosecution.”

Another said: “Sorry this has happened to you, awful thing to do to an independent business.”

Clarkson’s Farm star Caleb Cooper said: “Such a shame.”

Police have said they are investigating following reports of shoplifting.

A spokesperson said two men were involved and left in the same vehicle, heading towards Burford in West Oxfordshire.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told the Daily Mail: “We received a report of shoplifting at Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Chipping Norton Road, Chadlington, at around 4.15pm yesterday (8/8).

“Two men entered the shop after arriving in the same vehicle. One went to the till and bought £69-worth of goods while the other stole two bottles of alcohol and another unknown item, worth around £80.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

“Both men then left the shop, got back in the vehicle and drove off in the direction of Burford.”

Police are urging anyone with any information to come forward by calling 101 or make a report on its website using the reference number 43230353268.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the teenage staff working at the shop had to wear body cams due to the abuse the received from members of the public.

The details were shared during a hearing into a planning application to expand Diddly Squat’s car park back in March.

Annabel Gray, 32, who worked on a catering trailer at the farm, said that employees aged 16 were forced to ‘wear body cameras’ as a precaution because of the abuse directed at them from customers.
