The family of a man who died while on holiday in Cyprus are wanting to know why his 'heart is missing' and they weren't told about it.
The Sun reports that 76-year-old Michael Graley was on holiday in Cyprus with his wife Yvonne, 73, and their family when he started suffering cramp in his leg and was taken to hospital.
Around 10 minutes after arriving at the hospital, the family were told by doctors that Michael had died, but when the body was being returned to the UK, there was no cause of death listed on his paperwork.
Yvonne had said that they'd been told a pathologist had carried out a post-mortem back in Cyprus, but there was no cause of death confirmed for Michael.

As such, a second post-mortem examination was carried out back in the UK at Rochdale Coroners' Office, where they discovered that the man's heart was missing.

The coroner told the family it had been removed, so they won't know the cause of death until they can get it back.
"They said someone had removed Michael’s heart and so they cannot determine a cause of death," Yvonne told The Sun.
"I was so shocked. It was horrible."

Police in Cyprus said that Michael's heart had been sent away for research, but his family have said they are 'so angry' and want 'answers' as to why his heart was removed and nobody told them.
Rochdale Coroners' Office have said they are investigating the matter.
Michael Graley is not the only holidaymaker to pass away abroad, only for their family to discover that the heart did not return to the UK with the rest of the body.

28-year-old mum Beth Martin died on holiday in Turkey earlier this year after she became 'delirious' and was rushed to hospital. An autopsy on her body, once it was returned to Britain, discovered the woman's heart was missing'.

"No explanation. No consent. They have invaded her body and they have TAKEN her heart," a GoFundMe set up to help Beth's family explained of the situation.
Without her heart, the cause of death was unclear, with her widower Luke describing his wife's death as 'the worst and most traumatic week of my entire life'.
Officials in Turkey later said that Beth had died due to 'cardiac arrest due to multiple organ failure', but the health ministry insisted her heart had not been removed, as they insisted there was 'no question of any organs being removed'.
